Memento (2000) Movie Review

Director: Christopher Nolan
Writers: Christopher Nolan, Jonathan Nolan
Starring: Guy Pearce, Carrie-Anne Moss, Joe Pantoliano

If you plan on watching this movie then you should probably line your skull with blast-resistant screens because your mind will be blown.

The entire movie is backwards! How can that sentence not intrigue you? You’re even intrigued when watching it as each of the scenes trail backwards and are split up by phone call exposition. On top of the constant interest, the twist at the end of the movie is insane. I felt like Christopher Nolan just popped out and slapped me right round the face. It was impossible to see coming but made so much sense in regard to what you have been told about Guy Pearce’s condition.
The idea was excellent and the execution was fantastic.

Sometimes, however, you find yourself trying to piece all the scenes together in the correct order, which kind of makes you miss some of the movie.

That was my entire paragraph of negatives. I was just so engrossed throughout the entire movie and the twist is just so great. I can hardly think of a negative for this movie. Guy Pearce is also great in the movie. I feel like if you haven’t watched this movie then you are really missing out on one of the most incredible movies of the 21st century.

Please feel free to leave a comment on either the movie or the review. Say if you liked or disliked the movie. I'm interested to find out what you think!
